About Us

Welcome to Bee Nutty!

From the heart of Africa to your table, we bring you nature’s liquid gold.

Our story begins in the pristine wilderness of Zambia, an African country where indigenous bees dance through forests of wild flowering trees.

Here, far from industrial modern farms and artificial feeders, they create something extraordinary: honey with a depth of flavor containing complex notes of caramel, wild berries, and sun-warmed wood. Each jar is carefully curated from traditional harvesting methods.

Try a jar today and taste the difference. Our honey isn’t just sweet – it’s a journey to a place where nature still writes the rules.

Our Story

It all started with memories in Zambia.

Growing up in Kawambwa, a rural village in Zambia’s Luapula province, I knew what it meant to dream bigger than your circumstances. My family lived on a school teacher’s modest income, which is equivalent to $100 American dollars per month. I remember walking approximately 2 hours to school on hot days, usually arriving hungry and fatigued. However, I was still one of the lucky ones. My older siblings eventually took me to the Copperbelt province. I still struggled to get textbooks and good grades but amidst the hard circumstances I never gave up the idea of helping others in a meaningful way. Eventually, with sheer hard work and determination I got the education that changed my life.

Years later, living in the United States, that memory of home never left me. Like Harriet Tubman, who couldn’t rest knowing others remained in chains, I felt a calling to return to my roots and make a difference. That’s when I connected with my cousin Chad Kasakula, who had put himself through the University of Zambia by selling honey. Sometimes the sweetest solutions are the simplest ones.

In 2023, BEE NUTTY was born with a simple idea: what if we could turn Zambia’s pristine forests into a source of sustainable income for rural communities? My dream of helping my people would finally come true. Opportunities flooded our door and we partnered with  local expert Mr. Ngoma and Peace Corps volunteers; Hannah and Thomas Clay. Together we trained over 40 beekeepers across Samfya, Kawambwa, and Kazembe. We provide the beehives, they provide the expertise, and nature does the rest. Additionally, we partnered with other Zambian honey companies.  Our honey comes from the untouched forests of Zambia, far from commercial farms and agricultural chemicals. These are not your ordinary bees – they feed on their own honey (never syrup). When harvest time comes, we share the bounty with our hardworking bees, taking only what we need.

But BEE NUTTY is more than just honey in a jar. It’s a bridge between two worlds – our home in Dunnellon, Florida, and our roots in Mansa, Luapula province. Every bottle of honey purchased represents a family supported, a child sent to school, a dream made possible. We’re creating a sustainable cycle of opportunity, one beehive at a time.

Our mission is about spreading sweetness in every sense of the word. When you choose BEE NUTTY, you are not just getting pure, wild-harvested Zambian honey with a flavor you won’t find anywhere else. You’re joining a movement to break the cycle of poverty through sustainable enterprise.  This is more than a business. This is a homecoming
